Exploring Our Chakras Level 1 - A Journey of Self Discovery & Personal Healing
Series of 4 once a month classes of about 4 hours each

This class series is presented by Reiki Master Teacher, Arline Rowden: You are invited to go on a journey of discovery within yourself. Color, sound, movement and imagery will guide you as you travel from root to crown while experiencing the essence of your chakras. Connecting with and experiencing these energy centers within you can begin to reveal "The Secrets" of who you are. Arline will include information from her emotional nature and ageless wisdom studies. And she will set an energy space for the group using Reiki, Light Body and Soul Energies. The group energy enhances everyone's experience and acccelerates healing and awareness.

This series would be beneficial to anyone whether you have studied and worked with the chakras or you are new to the whole subject of chakras. It would be of special interest to students of Reiki and/or meditation and those who are focusing on their spirituality. You will want to plan to attend all the classes for the greatest benefit. The first class will focus on an overview of all the chakras and manifesting from the perspective of the chakras and the root chakra, class #2 will include the sacral and solar plexus chakras and class #3 will be for the heart and throat and class #4 will focus on the 3rd eye and crown chakras.

Chakra comes from a Sanskrit word meaning wheel or disk. The idea of chakras or spinning vortexes of energy comes from the ancient yoga systems of India. Chakras are centers for receiving, processing and transmitting the energy of life. There are many minor chakras throughout the body and seven major chakras radiating from the central nerve ganglia of the spinal column. The chakras are in our etheric physical energy body and the nerve ganglia are in our dense physical energy body. The etheric chakras are as real as the dense physical nerve ganglia. Most people can not see the chakras, but we can learn to sense our chakras.

When our chakras are functioning as intended, there is an adequate amount of energy flowing in and out and up and down through each of the chakras. Life's experiences, our ideas, beliefs and cultural values affect our chakras. The flow of energy through the chakra can be reduced by our wounds and some beliefs that we hold. Chakra exploration can be a wonderful way to approach healing. It provides a way to focus on just certain areas or themes instead of everything at once. It can be a powerful and yet gentle and loving approach.

Our nervous system is like a series of wires connecting every muscle, cell and organ to our brain by way of our spinal column and sends energy and directions throughout the body. In western science, the physical brain is thought to be the only place in our body where thinking takes place. Eastern thought, regarding the chakras, teaches that varying levels of consciousness or thinking and memory occur in each of the chakras and throughout the body, not just in the physical brain.

You will receive a manual with extensive written materials with this class series. The length of each class is 4 hours but length can vary with the size of the class. The classes are usually scheduled once a month. If you miss a group class, you will be required to do an individual 90 minute to 2 hour make-up class prior to the next scheduled group class. The fee for the make-up class would be the current rate for a 90 minute to 2 hour mentoring session.

Check the class and Event Calendar for class dates. New series of classes will begin as needed. They can be scheduled on any day of the week if there are enough participants. These classes are available at my Janesville office. Please email or call to let me know you are interested in this series.
